The KZN Quadrangular proved to be a steep but valuable learning curve as part of Natal Inland’s preparation for the upcoming Inter-Districts in March.
The men’s competition was hosted at Newcastle Bowling Club, while the women competed at Dundee Bowling Club. Both venues delivered an exceptionally well-run tournament, with superb organisation and catering that were greatly appreciated by all involved.
On the greens, there were some excellent performances from our sides. The Natal Inland Men’s B Side produced a strong and consistent display to win their section, while the Open Men’s side put in a commendable effort, finishing second to Port Natal in a competitive section.
The highlight for the ladies was a superb tournament performance by the Natal Inland Open Women’s side, who delivered outstanding bowls throughout, combining skill, determination, and teamwork to secure a well-deserved victory in the Ladies Open section.
Overall, the Quadrangular provided invaluable match experience, highlighted key areas for growth, and reinforced confidence as we continue our build-up toward Inter-Districts. A sincere thank you to Newcastle BC and Dundee BC for their excellent hospitality and for contributing to a successful and enjoyable tournament.
Thank you to all our players for representing NIBA with such pride, passion, commitment, and sportsmanship. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you. You all earned your places and wore the badge with absolute pride.
Best of luck to everyone heading into Inter-Districts in March. Keep the momentum going, NIBA is right behind you all the way! 💪💙💛🐘
