2026 Natal Inland Men's & Women's Open Singles

A beautiful mid-winter's day greeted players as Maritzburg BC, together with Maritzburg West BC and Lynwood BC, hosted the sectional rounds of the 2026 Natal Inland Men's & Women's Open Singles.

The day produced some magnificent bowls, plenty of close contests and a few surprise results along the way. One of the highlights was seeing both Under-15 entrants win their respective sections, proving that the future of bowls in Natal Inland is in very capable hands.

Players travelled from across the district, including competitors from Underberg and Kokstad. The participation of a player competing in a wheelchair also made the day particularly special and showcased the inclusive nature of our sport.

Congratulations to all the sectional winners and qualifiers who now progress to the playoff stages.

Attached are the playoff charts. Playoff games will commence at 12 noon on Saturday, 20 June, with the Round of 16 matches scheduled to begin at approximately 2:30pm on the same day. All playoff games will happen at the Maritzburg Bowling Club.

We wish all remaining players the very best as they continue their quest to be crowned the 2026 Natal Inland Open Singles Champions.

🏆 KZN Fours – Quarter Finalists Confirmed! 🏆

The KZN Fours was played over the weekend at various venues across the Kingfisher District, with players enjoying stunning winter weather and excellent green conditions throughout the competition.

As expected, many of the fancied sides have successfully navigated their way through to the playoff stages, although there were a few surprise results along the way that reminded us just how competitive KZN bowls can be.

Natal Inland Bowls is proud to have two teams progressing to the Quarter Finals:

👏 Roni Bearpark and her team
👏 Brad Robinson and his team
