Wow, wow, wow… what an absolutely incredible event!
A weekend filled with bowls of the very highest quality — keeping spectators and players spellbound from the very first bowl to the very last. The standard of competition, passion, and determination on display was simply outstanding.
After a magical weekend of action, we were proud to crown our 2026 Masters Champions:
🌸 Women's Champions
🥇 Gold: Francesca Baleri (Lynwood)
🥈 Silver: Zelda Siebert (Collegians)
🥉 Bronze: Tara Janse van Rensburg (Lynwood)
🏅 4th Place: Danielle van Staden (Lynwood)
🔥 Men's Champions
🥇 Gold: Sid Siebert (Collegians)
🥈 Silver: Brad Robinson (Lynwood)
🥉 Bronze: Keith Harcombe (Collegians)
🏅 4th Place: Sean Lightfoot (Lynwood)
Congratulations to all our champions and competitors. An even bigger reward awaits our top four finishers, who have now secured automatic berths into the 2027 Open Masters.
Events like these are never possible without the incredible people working behind the scenes. A massive thank you goes out to every volunteer who gave their time and energy throughout the weekend.
Special thanks to Maritzburg West BC for hosting and sponsoring this fantastic event. We also extend our appreciation to the club members and district players who served as markers, and special thanks to Wilma Halvorsen and Bruce Hullet for their excellent umpiring services.
